Mundekulla 3 Days of Running Festival is the perfect way to join a running community, as you have the chance to run all three days alongside fellow runners who have the same passion as you. We offer marathon, half-marathon, 10K and Mini. Join our running community and experience great routes, workshops, camaraderie, loads of fun and a chance to meet new people.

BREATHING
Wim Hof Method

WHM certified coach Björn Karlsson will take us on an introduction and guided group session into the breathing exercises of the world-renowned Wim Hof method. Wim Hof breathing in a group creates a strong experience while you benefit from all the documented health effects, as well as positive impact on your running performance.

RUNNING STRATEGY
Roy Hinnen

Roy Hinnen is coach of champions. He started coaching triathletes in 2002 and published his observations from three decades of experience in Triathlon in two books - deep diving into training methods, nutrition, meditation and running strategy. We are very excited to have Roy on board! During the festival he will teach running tactics and strategy, as well as a visitation of the running track.

VINYASA & YIN YOGA
Annie Rudén

As a runner and yoga teacher Annie Rudén will offer Vinyasa flow with dynamic exercises with focus on hips, hamstrings and lower back. We’ll do important stretches that help prevent injury’s in the back. Yin yoga will bring an effective and powerful way to work with the fascia and help restoration and loosening of tight muscles. Annie will combine her classes with theory on how you can bring yoga into your weekly routines to support your running practice.

HOMEMADE RUNNER FOODS
Alfonso Calabria, Stephanie Verstift

During the festival and the run we will you provide you with homemade healthy and nutritious meals, bars and drinks- adapted to the runner's needs. From energy bars to runner's bread and homebrewed energy drinks.

During the festival workshops on the 8th of September we'll also do a cooking session in which we'll prepare some of these gems together. A great skill to bring home to support your running practice.

Mundekulla is known for its vegetarian and plantbased kitchen, which was acknowledged by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, as it received the honor of Best Hotel Cookbook in the World 2021 and Best Vegetarian Cookbook Sweden 2022.

Food and practical info

  • Mundekulla serves organic, vegan or vegetarian food and offer milk and gluten free options for those who wish or have allergies. However, we cannot serve food that suits all different diets.

  • All participants should check in at the reception and pay for any upgraded lodging upon arrival

  • It is not allowed to use candles in the rooms.

  • Pets cannot be brought to the facilities, but there is a dog hotel 7 km from Mundekulla

  • It can be nice to bring clothes and shoes for nature walks.

Alcohol-free and drug-free

Mundekulla is an alcohol- and drug-free center. With an exception for coffee and chocolate :)

Mundekulla 3 Days of Running is supported by Högby IF

Högby IF is the organizer of around 20 running events in Kalmar and Öland. This year, Högby IF is also a co-organiser in the Mundekulla 3 Days Of Running Festival. The association has long experience in running races and wants to contribute in the absolute best way so that the premiere is top class. In the association there are also runners who will participate in the races and who look forward to the event with great interest.

Mundekulla is an ecological course and retreat center in the countryside of Småland: The place where also the famous botanic Linnaeus and Pippi Longstocking come from. At Mundekulla people come together for courses, conferences and festivals, from 15-300 people, on personal development, health, sustainability, nature and entrepreneurship. 

 

Mundekulla is built on sustainable principles ever since it started over 20 years ago. From the buildings to green energy, from social justice to educational projects.
